The Continuing Education Center at Alameed University organized a scientific workshop titled “Design of Medical Research”, delivered by Prof. Dr. Mahdi Saeed from Michigan State University (USA), with the participation of a distinguished group of faculty members and researchers from the university.
The workshop was attended by Assistant President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul Rahim, Acting Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Lamia Abdul Karim, as well as a number of college deans and directors of scientific and administrative departments.
The workshop addressed the scientific foundations of medical research design, mechanisms for selecting research problems, formulating hypotheses, and determining data collection tools, in addition to discussing the ethical and methodological standards internationally adopted in conducting high-quality medical research. The lecturer also highlighted the latest trends in designing clinical and epidemiological studies, as well as strategies for publishing research in reputable international journals.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants expressed their appreciation to the guest lecturer for his valuable scientific contribution, while the Continuing Education Center commended the ongoing support of the University Presidency in organizing specialized training programs and workshops.
