Our university received the World Health Organization Representative in Iraq, Dr. Jameela Al-Raiby. Welcoming her were the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Lamia Abdul-Karim Issa, the Director of the Department of Media and Government Communication, and the Director of the Department of Studies and Planning, in the presence of the Associate Head of the Medical Affairs Department at the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, Mr. Maher Khalid.
Dr. Al-Raiby commended the projects undertaken by the Holy Shrine, foremost among them University of Al-Ameed, praising the great care given to students and the provision of an advanced educational environment that elevates academic standards and delivered services.
The visit also witnessed discussions on avenues for joint cooperation between the World Health Organization and our university, aiming to strengthen the exchange of expertise, advance health and educational programs and initiatives, and open broader horizons for partnership in service of the healthcare sector and academic institutions.
