The Senior Official of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, His Eminence Allamah Sayyid Ahmad Al-Safi (may his glory endure), affirmed that the Iraqi people welcome visitors with genuine warmth and kindness, noting that the Arbaeen pilgrimage stands as the finest testament to this, witnessing the arrival of millions of pilgrims of various nationalities in the holy city of Karbala.

This came during His Eminence's visit to University of Al-Ameed and his meeting with His Excellency the Ambassador of Finland to Iraq, Mr. Antti Putkonen, and his accompanying delegation, as part of the ambassador's tour to review the projects and institutions of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Education and Higher Education Authority at the Holy Shrine and Member of its Board of Directors, Professor Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Daddah Al-Musawi, the President of Al-Ameed Educational Group, Dr. Hassan Dakhil, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jash'ami, alongside several officials and academics.

His Eminence pointed out that the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine attaches great importance to knowledge and experiences that foster human development, and remains dedicated to harnessing its resources in service of society across diverse domains, including education, industry, agriculture, and healthcare, emphasizing the value of leveraging international expertise to support Iraq's development pathway.

His Eminence reviewed a selection of initiatives sponsored by the Holy Shrine, such as the Al-Noor solar panel production plant, truck and tractor manufacturing projects, the intravenous solutions factory, as well as healthcare institutions, underscoring the vital role of these endeavors in advancing productive and service sectors while meeting community needs.

His Eminence also observed that the prevailing image of Iraq abroad does not fully reflect its reality, which might prompt apprehension among foreign visitors, asserting that the generosity of Iraqis and their cordial conduct toward guests are vividly manifested during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, in which holy Karbala receives over 20 million visitors within 15 days without recording negative incidents, according to his remarks.

For his part, the Finnish Ambassador expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for the warm hospitality, praising the urban and technological progress observed throughout the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine's projects, particularly the advanced technologies utilized in solar panel manufacturing, the production lines for trucks and tractors, and the significant support these initiatives provide to clean energy and the domestic market in Iraq.
