The second-stage students at the College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University took the Mastery Exam for practical skills. This comes within the framework of the college's efforts to ensure its students master the basic clinical skills prescribed for each academic year, in alignment with modern medical education standards.
The exam included the assessment of a set of practical skills on which the students underwent training during the current semester. This exam is considered a fundamental part of the assessment system adopted by the college, which is based on the principle of actual mastery of the skill before transitioning to advanced stages.
The Mastery Exam adopts a Pass/Fail system, without calculating numerical grades, while granting students three attempts during a single academic year. Additionally, it allows for retraining and re-attempting in subsequent years until the required level of mastery is achieved.
The exam was conducted with great smoothness and success, under the direct supervision of the College Deanship and the Medical Education Unit. This reflects the robustness of the adopted assessment system and the commitment of the Al-Ameed College of Medicine to the quality of medical education outputs and elevating the practical level of its students.
