The College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University held an expanded meeting that brought together the Higher Accreditation Committee, as well as the heads and members of the accreditation standards committees, to finalize the reception plan for the assessment delegation—the National Assessor Team (NAT)—dispatched by the National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Colleges (NCAMC). The visit to the college is scheduled to take place soon as part of the official evaluation and accreditation procedures.
The meeting outlined the framework of an awareness campaign targeting students, academic staff, and administrative personnel, aimed at highlighting the significance and scope of the visit. It also addressed mechanisms for preparing an appropriate academic and administrative environment to ensure the success of the upcoming assessment process.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Murtadha, the Academic and Administrative Assistant Deans, the Head of the Medical Education Unit, along with several heads of academic departments and relevant staff members.
These preparations come as part of the college’s pursuit of programmatic accreditation, given its critical role in aligning the college’s systems and academic programs with approved national standards, enhancing the quality of medical education and its outcomes, and meeting the requirements of development and sustainability.
