In a continuous pursuit of academic excellence and enhancement of educational quality, the Deanship of the College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University held a meeting chaired by the Acting Dean, Professor Dr. Hassan Nasrallah, with the attendance of the heads of academic and administrative departments within the college.
During the meeting, the Director of Medical Education and the assistant physicians presented a detailed overview of the new update mechanisms. These included the formulation of educational objectives for all lectures based on Bloom’s Taxonomy of cognitive domains, reflecting the college’s commitment to adopting best global practices in modern medical education.
The update process involved a comprehensive review of the academic program content across all study stages, alongside the revision of learning outcomes and the development of assessment methods. These efforts aim to improve educational outcomes, enhance student competencies, and qualify them according to the highest academic standards.
The College of Medicine’s Deanship highly commended the substantial efforts exerted by the working teams within the Medical Education Unit and faculty members across all scientific departments, affirming that this initiative represents a strategic step towards consolidating quality and excellence in medical education at Al-Ameed University.
This step is part of the college’s preparations to obtain academic accreditation from the National Accreditation Council. The college is diligently working to update and develop its programs, thereby enhancing transparency and curricular integration.
