For the first time, the College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University launched the *Critical Appraisal Course (CAC)* for sixth-year students, as part of its ongoing efforts to modernize its academic curriculum and promote the principles of *Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM)*. The course was organized under the auspices of the college's deanship, supervised by the Medical Education Unit, and facilitated by a distinguished group of specialized faculty members.
The program included an intensive preparatory week that featured interactive lectures, workshops, and in-class activities. It concluded with student-led presentations in which participants critically appraised peer-reviewed medical studies from international scientific databases. Through these presentations, students demonstrated their skills in evaluating the quality of evidence and deriving sound scientific conclusions.
The course aims to prepare future physicians capable of making clinical decisions grounded in the highest standards of scientific evidence.
