The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Counseling at Al-Ameed University organized a guidance lecture titled “Enhancing Dopamine through Faith-Based Qualities”, delivered by Educational Counselor Mr. Hussein Mohammed Al-Ameedi for second-year students of the College of Pharmacy.
The first part of the lecture discussed the Sermon on the Attributes of the God-Conscious (Al-Muttaqīn) by Imam Amir al-Mu'mineen (peace be upon him), as narrated in Nahj al-Balāghah, highlighting the spiritual and moral values it contains as a comprehensive framework for building a balanced and faithful personality.
The second part focused on explaining the importance of enhancing the hormone dopamine in the human brain and its role in nurturing positive traits such as motivation, optimism, and psychological balance. The lecturer emphasized the strong correlation between faith-based values and mental health in achieving inner happiness and emotional stability.
