The College of Nursing at our university received Prof. Dr. Jihad Jawad Kadhim, Head of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department at the University of Kufa and a faculty member at its College of Nursing, in his capacity as an external examiner for the college. This comes within the framework of implementing the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the adoption of external examiners to evaluate academic programs implemented according to the Bologna Process.
The guest was welcomed by the Dean of the College of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Diaa Kareem Al-Bayati, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ridha Mohammed Lefta, alongside a number of faculty members at the college. During the reception, they discussed the mechanisms of implementing the academic program and the requirements for its development in accordance with approved standards.
The visit also included a meeting with the Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamia Abdul-Karim Issa, during which they reviewed the most prominent academic and administrative aspects, as well as the university's efforts in supporting the implementation of the Bologna Process and enhancing the quality of educational programs.
During his tour, Prof. Dr. Jihad Jawad Kadhim reviewed the academic program description, examination mechanisms, and approved teaching, learning, and evaluation methods. This was in addition to visiting the examination committee and scientific departments, and reviewing the policies and procedures manual enforced at the college, reflecting its commitment to implementing quality and academic accreditation standards.
At the conclusion of the visit, the external examiner praised the academic and organizational standard of the College of Nursing, commending its achievements in planning, implementing, and evaluating the academic program. He emphasized that the exerted efforts align with the requirements of the Bologna Process and contribute to elevating the quality of university education outcomes.
