Our university participated in the unified mourning procession of Iraqi university students, the organization and march coordination of which were supervised by the Department of Rituals, Processions, and Hussaini Bodies affiliated with the Holy Abbasid Shrine. The event saw broad participation from professors and students of various Iraqi universities to commemorate the anniversary of Ashura and embody the values of loyalty and allegiance to the renaissance of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
Representing the university in the procession was the Assistant to the University President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Karim Abdul-Rahim, accompanied by a number of the university's faculty members and students. The participation was conducted under the monitoring and supervision of the Student Activities Department, which remains keen to organize and track the university's presence in various national and religious events.
This participation falls within the framework of the university's keenness to consolidate religious and human values among its students and personnel, and to reinforce its presence in occasions that embody the cultural and religious identity of society. This reflects its mission to support activities that contribute to developing awareness and deeply embedding the principles of belonging and commitment to authentic values.
