On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at Al-Ameed University organized a Majlis of Mourning commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The gathering was attended by the University’s Vice-President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Maytham Hameed Al-Qanbar, the Vice-President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul-Raheem, along with the deans of the colleges, faculty members, staff, and a group of students. The event took place at the Imam al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) Hall, located at the heart of the university campus.
The Majlis commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a religious lecture delivered by the honorable Hussaini orator, Sayyid Hussein Al-Safi. His lecture included an exposition of the luminous biography of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), her stances during her short lifetime, the oppression she endured, and the lofty values of the Household of Prophethood in which she was nurtured—values that serve as an exemplary model for all generations.
The Majlis witnessed heartfelt interaction from the attendees with the expressive words and lessons drawn from the life of Lady al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The session concluded with an emotional elegy that moved many to tears in grief over the anniversary of the martyrdom of the oppressed truthful one.
