The College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University, in cooperation with the Holy Karbala Health Directorate – Main Blood Bank, organized the second annual blood donation campaign to mark the anniversary of the declaration of the resounding victory over terrorism.
The campaign supervisor and faculty member at the College of Medicine, Dr. Ahmed Aswad, stated in a declaration to the University Media that this humanitarian initiative was launched in support of our patients and the heroes of our security forces and the Holy Popular Mobilization. It aims to consolidate the values of giving and humanitarian responsibility, embodying the university's mission to serve the community alongside its scientific and academic role.
He added that the campaign witnessed wide participation from the faculty, staff, and students of the university colleges, who answered the call to donate. They contributed to saving lives by bolstering the supply at the governorate's blood bank, in an atmosphere prevailed by a spirit of cooperation and social solidarity.
He noted that these initiatives reflect Al-Ameed University's commitment to supporting national health efforts, promoting a culture of volunteerism, and actively participating in humanitarian causes that serve the community.
