Our university commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of the standard-bearer of Karbala and the hero of the Battle of Taff, Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), by holding a mourning council. The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, the university vice presidents, college deans, and a number of faculty and staff members, in remembrance of his immortal stances and great sacrifices in support of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

The council commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the student and Quran reciter Ahmad Abdul-Hussain. Following this, His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Faisal Al-Kazemi ascended the pulpit, reviewing the fragrant biography of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas ibn Ali (peace be upon them) and the values of faith, loyalty, selflessness, and sacrifice he embodied during the Battle of Taff in Karbala. He emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from these principles to build society and consolidate authentic human values.

This council is part of the programs and activities organized by our university to commemorate religious occasions and honor the iconic figures of the Hussaini Renaissance, thereby contributing to enhancing religious and cultural awareness while consolidating moral values among the staff and personnel of The University of Alameed.

Peace be upon the water-bearer of the thirsty of Karbala, peace be upon the guardian of Zainab, peace be upon Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him). May Allah magnify our rewards and yours on this sorrowful anniversary.
