The College of Medicine at our university witnessed a visit by a delegation from the Holy Karbala Health Directorate, which included officials from Family Medicine and Community Medicine. They were received by the Acting Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Murtadha; the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Zulfiqar Al-Bassam; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Aliwi Jassim, Head of the Family and Community Medicine Branch, along with a number of the college's faculty members. This visit was to discuss the mechanisms of joint cooperation in the field of conducting clinical exams (OSCE) within the university, contributing to the provision of the infrastructure and necessary requirements for the success of these exams, in accordance with the approved academic and medical standards.
The visiting delegation included Consultant Physician Dr. Salam Sahib Abdul, Head of the Arab Board of Family Medicine; Dr. Sukaina Abdul Hai Ahmed, Head of the Centers Division in the Public Health Department; and Dr. Zainab Abdul Hussein Abdul Ali, Director of the Non-Communicable Diseases Division in the Public Health Department.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance scientific and training cooperation between the two sides, and to coordinate efforts aimed at developing the educational environment and clinical training for the students of the College of Medicine, which will positively reflect on the level of health services and medical education in the province.
