The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at the College of Dentistry at Al-Ameed University, in cooperation with the volunteer "Giving Team" (Ataa Team) from the second-stage students, launched an awareness initiative at the mixed Amerli Primary School in the Holy City of Karbala. The initiative aims to enhance health awareness among pupils regarding the importance of dental care and maintaining oral hygiene.
The head of the counseling division at the aforementioned college, educational counselor Ameer Raad, said that the initiative included awareness segments on the correct methods of brushing teeth for pupils and urging them to adopt healthy dietary habits that contribute to protecting teeth from decay. This was in addition to practically training them on how to use a toothbrush and toothpaste correctly.
The event concluded with the distribution of toothbrushes and toothpaste to the pupils, encouraging them to adopt healthy behaviors, as part of the college's commitment to serving the community and instilling preventive concepts from the earliest school stages.
