Nursing Students at Al-Ameed University Enhance Their Practical Skills in Psychiatric and Mental Wards

Fourth-stage students at the College of Nursing at Al-Ameed University have begun their practical training for the "Mental Health Nursing" course in several specialized hospitals, under the supervision of the course instructors and a group of nursing staff.

Prof. Dr. Dhiyaa Kareem Al-Bayati, Dean of the College of Nursing, said, "This training represents a fundamental step in preparing professional nurses capable of handling difficult situations and understanding the psychological needs of patients."

Al-Bayati added, "We commend the efforts of the instructors in following up with the students in the field and providing a stimulating learning environment in order to achieve high-efficiency nursing outcomes."

For their part, the student training supervisors affirmed that "the practical training aims to develop students' skills in dealing with psychiatric and mental patients, and to apply theoretical concepts in a real work environment, thereby enhancing their clinical and humanitarian competence in providing integrated nursing care."
