Overview

The Department of Studies and Planning is one of the principal administrative units of the University Presidency. It is responsible for preparing strategic and operational plans, conducting institutional studies, developing key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data, and supporting evidence-based decision-making. The department also oversees the implementation of strategic plans and development projects in alignment with the University's vision and strategic objectives.

Vision

To establish an integrated system for studies and strategic planning that enables the University to achieve academic leadership, institutional excellence, and sustainable development in accordance with international standards.

Mission

To provide high-quality studies and accurate analyses, develop data-driven strategic and operational plans, and enhance planning, monitoring, and evaluation systems in order to support informed decision-making, improve institutional performance, and promote academic excellence and sustainable development.

Objectives

1. Develop and periodically update the University's strategic and operational plans.
2. Support decision-makers through institutional studies, analytical reports, and evidence-based recommendations.
3. Develop and enhance the University's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) system and monitor institutional performance.
4. Develop institutional databases and strengthen data governance practices.
5. Support quality assurance initiatives and institutional and academic accreditation processes.
6. Conduct future-oriented studies and identify potential risks and development opportunities.
7. Promote the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the University's strategic planning framework.
8. Prepare spatial, environmental, and strategic studies that serve both the University and the wider community.
9. Strengthen cooperation with national and international institutions in the fields of planning, research, and capacity building.
