The University Council held its eighth open session this Sunday morning, (21/6/2026), chaired by the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, and attended by all council members. The session aimed to discuss several academic and administrative matters concerning the progress of university operations and the development of its educational environment.
The session addressed a series of important directives regarding various portfolios, including rationalizing consumption and promoting the optimal use of resources, in alignment with the requirements of rigorous institutional work. Furthermore, the council examined mechanisms for addressing student cases across the colleges in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, ensuring fairness while simultaneously considering both academic and humanitarian aspects.
The council also reviewed academic promotion files for researchers and faculty members as part of its framework to support the research journey and stimulate scientific output. This was in addition to deliberating on several proposals and ideas that serve the academic mission of The University of Alameed, particularly regarding global rankings, developing institutional performance, and elevating quality standards across all sectors of university work.
