The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Counseling at Al-Ameed University organized, on Wednesday (June 4th, 2025), a memorial Majlis of condolence marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (peace be upon him). The Majlis was held at Imam al-Mujtaba Hall (peace be upon him) within the university campus.
The gathering commenced with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, delivered by faculty member Dr. Ali Hamad al-Kalkawi, followed by a religious lecture delivered by the Husseini orator, Sheikh Abdul Sahib al-Taie, who shed light on the life of Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him), reflecting on key moments from his noble biography. The lecture highlighted the profound lessons derived from the Imam’s patience, steadfastness, and continuous contributions up until his martyrdom.
The Majlis was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri al-Jashami, the Administrative and Legal Assistant to the President, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul-Rahim, along with several deans of colleges, faculty members, staff, and university affiliates.
This event is part of the university’s ongoing series of cultural and religious activities, aimed at instilling Islamic values, fostering awareness of the lives of Ahlulbayt Imams (peace be upon them), and commemorating religious occasions for their significant educational and spiritual impact on shaping the academic and humanistic character of its students and affiliates.
