The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at Al-Ameed University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a workshop titled "Understanding Laboratory Hazard Levels in Universities," aimed at promoting awareness of safety protocols within academic laboratories and ensuring the well-being of staff and students.
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Sabeih Abd Ubood, Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department. He addressed the classification of hazard levels in laboratories, the standards required to maintain a safe academic environment, and best practices for handling hazardous materials and responding to emergencies.
This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of safety within laboratory settings, raise awareness among faculty and students about potential risks, and implement effective measures to minimize them—contributing to a secure and advanced educational and research environment.
