The Community Medicine Branch at the College of Medicine, in cooperation with the College's Medical Psychological Counseling Division, organized a scientific visit for sixth-stage students to the Warith International Foundation for Oncology. The visit was supervised by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Zulfiqar Al-Bassam, the Director of the Medical Psychological Counseling Division, Prof. Dr. Ali Tariq Abdul Hassan, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Buraier Sadiq Al-Attar.
The visit aimed to activate and reinforce the curriculum of the "Eight Vertical Themes" in medical education. These themes include communication skills, psychological support, health education, humanitarian aid, professional ethics, and patient protection. Additionally, the visit aimed to familiarize students with the specialized hospital environment and its operational mechanisms, as well as to benefit from lectures on healthcare quality and accreditation.
This visit falls within the framework of the College of Medicine's commitment to enhancing the practical and applied aspects of its students' education. It seeks to link theoretical knowledge with field reality, contributing to the preparation of scientifically and professionally distinguished medical staff capable of serving the community.
