The College of Pharmacy organized a specialized training course for its graduates titled "The Role of the Pharmacists Syndicate in Supporting Graduates and the Pharmaceutical Labor Market." The event was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Adiy Abdul Redha Hussein Al-Rikabi.
The course was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, and the Head of the Karbala Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Ali Ghani Abdul Shahid. Dr. Abdul Shahid outlined the Syndicate's role in qualifying new pharmacists and guiding them professionally. He explained the support mechanisms provided by the Syndicate to graduates during the early stages of their careers, contributing to their active integration into the pharmaceutical labor market. The course was also attended by several directors of scientific and administrative departments at the university, alongside students and alumni of the College of Pharmacy.
The Head of the Scientific Committee at the Karbala Pharmacists Syndicate, Prof. Dr. Hasanain Shakir Mahmoud, participated in the course. He presented a detailed overview of the regulations and bylaws approved for practicing the pharmacy profession, emphasizing the importance of adhering to professional laws and instructions to ensure the quality of professional performance and the protection of society.
The course included an intervention by Dr. Hussein Al-Sunaid, in which he addressed the role of the Syndicate's discipline committees and the mechanisms for dealing with professional violations. He stressed the necessity of enhancing legal and professional awareness among graduates to help consolidate the principles and ethics of the profession.
This course is part of a developmental project dedicated to College of Pharmacy graduates, aimed at raising their readiness for the labor market and strengthening their adherence to the professional and regulatory standards adopted in the pharmaceutical sector.
