The Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at Al-Ameed University organized a mourning council to commemorate the painful anniversary of the passing of the dignified and purified lady, Sayyida Umm al-Banin (peace be upon her). The event took place in the Imam Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) Hall on the university campus, attended by the University President, several College Deans, university faculty, staff, and students.
The council began with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by student Ali Najm, followed by a religious lecture presented by the Husseini preacher, Sayyid Hussein Al-Safi. He discussed aspects of the fragrant biography of the Lady of Loyalty, Umm al-Banin (peace be upon her), reviewing her stances of faith and her great role in supporting the immortal Husseini revolution.
Al-Safi concluded his lecture with a touching elegy that embodied the depth of the tragedy and its impact on the hearts of believers, amidst an atmosphere of grief and loyalty among the attendees to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
The Director of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Department at our university, Prof. Dr. Hassanain Adnan Al-Mousawi, stated in a declaration to the university media that this event comes within Al-Ameed University's approach to commemorating religious occasions. It aims to enhance Husseini education in the hearts of its affiliates and to remember the great figures who presented the most magnificent images of sacrifice and altruism for the Household of Prophethood (Allah’s prayers and peace be upon them).
