Al-Ameed University has completed all its preparations for the launch of the Third Al-Ameed International Conference for Medical Sciences tomorrow morning, Wednesday. The conference will continue for two days (November 26–27), under the slogan: “Integration of Medical Sciences to Serve Society,” at the Imam Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) Hall within the university campus.
This year, the conference witnesses the participation of more than 300 researchers from inside and outside Iraq, in addition to the presence of over 400 academic and specialized figures, making it one of the most prominent scientific events hosted by Karbala Governorate in the field of medical sciences.
The convening of the conference comes within the framework of the university's endeavor to enhance integration between medical and health specializations, exchange expertise among researchers, and solidify the role of academic institutions in serving humanity and society. It also aims to build bridges of scientific cooperation between clinical fields and basic sciences, and provide professional solutions that contribute to the development of the health sector.
The conference focuses on a set of objectives, most notably: Reviewing the latest developments in healthcare services and nursing education; supporting applied scientific research in the national pharmaceutical industry and finding technical solutions that contribute to developing local drug manufacturing; presenting the latest developments in clinical pharmacy and therapeutics and enhancing awareness of the optimal use of medication according to global protocols; highlighting the progress in dentistry, balancing aesthetics and functionality; and informing researchers and scientific circles of the latest findings in modern medical sciences.
The university completed all preparations following a series of meetings by the scientific, preparatory, and sub-committees, which continued working 24 hours a day over the past few days, to ensure the conference is presented in a manner befitting the Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine, the name of Al-Ameed University, and the status of the Holy Karbala Governorate.
The conference is scheduled to feature multiple scientific sessions, peer-reviewed research, and specialized activities that enhance the university's role in solidifying its academic standing and serving the health sector in Iraq.
