The College of Medicine at our university conducted the practical Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for fourth-year students in the Family and Community Medicine Branch for the academic year (2025–2026) - the second rotation. It included (7) scientific stations covering multiple topics, namely Communicable and Non-communicable Diseases, Maternal and Child Health, Communication Skills, the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) program, Vaccination, in addition to the skill of Breaking Bad News.
The Head of the Family and Community Medicine Branch, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul-Razzaq Aliwi Jassim, stated in a press release to the University Media that the exam took place with the participation of specialist doctors in family and community medicine from the Karbala Health Directorate, alongside the branch's teaching staff at the college. This was in the presence of the Dean of the College, who praised the smooth progress of the exam, the diversity of its scientific stations, and the high level of organization, as this contributed to enhancing the practical and evaluative aspects for the students, in accordance with approved academic standards.
