The Girls' Dormitories at Al-Ameed University organized a mourning council to commemorate the death anniversary of the dignified and purified lady, Sayyida Umm al-Banin (peace be upon her). This event is part of the annual activities the university is keen to organize to enhance and consolidate sublime values in the hearts of female students, amidst an atmosphere of reverence and loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
The Department Official, Ms. Azhar Jabbar Abbas, stated in a declaration to the university media that the council began with the recitation of blessed verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a religious lecture addressing the fragrant biography of Sayyida Umm al-Banin (peace be upon her). The lecture highlighted the stances of loyalty, altruism, and patience she embodied, and clarified her great role in supporting the blessed Husseini cause.
She added that this event comes within the framework of purposeful educational programs adopted by the university to commemorate the religious occasions of the Household of Prophethood (peace be upon them) and to introduce great Islamic figures who sacrificed for the sake of the immortal Husseini cause, contributing to the development of value-based and humanitarian awareness among female students.
