Alameed University adopted the e-learning project for the students remotely, It was implemented since the first days to disrupt the official working hours in educational institutions and universities due to the health crisis the country is going through due to covid-19 virus. Through this mechanism, time can be used and scientific material be given by professors. For their students in the form of video recordings or text summaries and explanations through electronic educational platforms. students are organised by making groups for each college.
The work on this project came under the guidance of the President of the alameed University, Professor Dr. Moead Al-Ghazally, In the line with the decisions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, President of the University held several meetings with the deans of colleges and the professors, he empathise the importance of studiousness of this project and making efforts for its success and providing the best services to university students Noting in an interview with the university’s media: “Our university adopted this project in order to continuously give scientific lectures to students and an investment of the time they have as a result of disrupting studies during this period as well as preventing the loss of the current school year. It has witnessed several events, the latest of which is the spread of Corona virus. "
This project found the approval and acceptance of many students and their parents who are keen to use time in acquiring information and continue to give scientific material within the curricula of each college, as the teachers communicate with their students through the applications of virtual meetings that are indexed within a schedule and these meetings are recorded to be through educational platforms (google classroom & free conference call (FCC)), which was used by students of the first stage in all colleges of Alameed University’s, as the number of students was more than 200 students in the first stage of the medical physics and anatomy, while students of the second and third stages in the university colleges were assigned to the moodle application
The Dean University has been using the electronic education system (Moodle) for two years to publish academic lectures, so that students can benefit from them at all times and provide the possibility for the university student to enter the application and benefit from it, especially during exam days and scientific review, the university contains the colleges of a medical and health group (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and nursing).)
