The College of Health and Medical Technologies, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at our university, organized a scientific symposium entitled "Antibiotic Resistance - Mechanisms, Clinical Outcomes, and Prevention Strategies." The session was delivered by the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Zuhair Jassim, in the presence of a gathering of the college's professors and faculty members.

The symposium addressed the issue of antibiotic resistance by shedding light on the mechanisms through which bacteria acquire resistance to antimicrobial therapies, the resulting clinical consequences, and the challenges posed to healthcare delivery. It also reviewed key prevention strategies and measures to curb the spread of this phenomenon, contributing to the promotion of health awareness and the consolidation of rational antibiotic use.

This symposium comes within the framework of the College of Health and Medical Technologies' dedication to advancing scientific knowledge, keeping pace with medical advancements, and supporting evidence-based healthcare practices that contribute to improving the quality of health services.
