Today, Sunday, June 15, 2025, the Imam Hassan (peace be upon him) Hall at the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine witnessed the commencement of the first and second research sessions within the activities of the 3rd International Week of Imamate. The event is held under the slogan: “Prophethood and Imamate: Two Inseparable Branches”, and titled: “The Imams’ Advices: Guidance and Piety”, coinciding with the blessed occasion of Eid al-Ghadir. The sessions featured broad participation from researchers and scholars representing various Arab, Islamic, and international countries, in the presence of the Custodian of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, His Eminence Al-Allama Sayyed Ahmad Al-Safi (may his honor endure), and the Secretary-General, Sayyed Mustafa Murtadha Al-Dhiaa Al-Deen, along with several members of the shrine's Board of Directors and department heads.
Al-Ameed University was represented in this scientific forum by the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Noori Al-Jashami, and the Administrative and Legal Assistant to the President, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul-Rahim, along with several directors of academic and administrative departments.
The first research session, chaired by Dr. Sheikh Hossam Al-Obaidi and coordinated by Dr. Mustafa Al-Anbari, included discussions on four scientific papers. The first paper, presented by Sheikh Dr. Arkan Al-Tamimi, was titled: “Friendship and Companionship in the Light of Imam Ali’s (peace be upon him) Advices”. The second paper, delivered by Sheikh Diyaa Alaa Al-Karbalaei, focused on: “Educational End-of-Life Advices: The Will of Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) to Junada Ibn Umayya as a Model”. The third research, presented by Sheikh Rafeed Al-Tamimi, discussed: “Educational Values in the Hussaini Biography”. The fourth paper, by Sayyed Ahmad Al-Darweesh from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, explored: “The Will of Imam Zain Al-Abideen (peace be upon him) to Al-Qasim Ibn Awf Al-Shaybani Al-Kufi”.
The second research session, chaired by Sayyed Abdul-Hakeem Al-Safi and coordinated by Dr. Ahmad Hassan Mansour, also featured four papers. Sheikh Ali Al-Ghazi presented a study on: “Claiming One’s Rights”. Sheikh Muhammad Ali Al-Salhi delivered a paper titled: “The Pillars of Faith in the Hadith of Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him)”. Sheikh Muhammad Al-Zein Al-Amili from Lebanon presented a paper discussing: “The Advices of Imam Al-Ridha (peace be upon him) to Rayyan Ibn Shabeeb and Their Role in Reviving the Tragedy of Imam Al-Hussain (peace be upon him) and Preserving Religion”. Finally, Sheikh Khalid Al-Abidi concluded the session with a paper analyzing: “The Will of Imam Al-Ridha (peace be upon him) to His Son Al-Jawad (peace be upon him): An Analytical Study of Doctrinal, Educational, and Social Dimensions”.
