The Student Activities Department at Al-Ameed University participated in the Short Story Festival held at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University in the Holy Governorate of Najaf, from November 16–20, 2025, with wide participation from Iraqi university students.
The Director of the Student Activities Department at our university, Dr. Hussein Hakem Abdul Wahid, stated in an exclusive interview with the university media that the festival witnessed artistic and cultural competitions in the field of storytelling. These aimed to develop students' skills and nurture their creative energies in this refined literary art.
He added that Al-Ameed University's participation in this festival comes within the framework of the university's vision supporting talented youthful energies. He pointed out that the university always strives to provide the appropriate environment to hone students' skills and enhance their presence in cultural and literary activities, in a manner that keeps pace with creativity levels and achieves an honorable representation in various student forums.
It is noteworthy that the participating Al-Ameed University delegation, headed by Dr. Hussein Hakem Abdul Wahid, included students Mohammed Riyadh Akram and Ahmed Abdul Muttalib from the College of Pharmacy, and student Sajjad Sahib from the College of Dentistry.
