The University Psychological Counseling Unit at our university organized a specialized lecture for fourth-year students at the College of Nursing entitled "Fine Arts and Their Impact on Daily Life." The session was delivered by educational counselor, Lecturer Muhannad Saadi, as part of the approved lecture curriculum for the 2026–2027 academic year, reflecting the unit's dedication to enhancing students' psychological and aesthetic awareness and nurturing the humanitarian and creative aspects of their personalities.
The lecture addressed the close relationship between visual arts and mental health, highlighting art's role in alleviating daily stress and fostering psychological and emotional balance, particularly for College of Nursing students who are preparing to enter a humanitarian profession that demands high levels of patience, empathy, and effective communication with patients.
The lecturer also reviewed the importance of beauty in everyday details and the positive influence of fine arts in refining behavior, discharging emotional tension, and renewing positive energy. He emphasized that art is not merely an outlet for creative expression, but rather a way of life that contributes to cultivating awareness, broadening one's worldview, and enhancing the capacity for compassion and meaningful human interaction.
