As part of the scientific and academic collaboration between Iraqi universities, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Ameed University, Prof. Dr. Uday Abdul-Ridha Hussein Al-Rikabi, chaired the scientific committee for the defense of a master's thesis in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah.
The thesis, entitled "The Possible Protective Effects of Hibiscus Sabdariffa Against Chlorpyrifos-Induced Endocrine Disruption in Adult Rats," falls within the scope of postgraduate research that explores the toxic effects of certain pesticides and the potential protective efficacy of specific plant extracts.
The committee included several faculty members from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah.
