The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine concluded the third edition of the International Imamate Week, held under the theme "Prophethood and Imamate: Inseparable Twins" and titled "The Counsels of the Imams: Guidance and Piety," in conjunction with the blessed Eid al-Ghadir. The closing ceremony witnessed broad participation from religious and academic figures from Iraq and abroad. Among the attendees were the Legal Custodian of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, Sayyid Ahmad Al-Safi, Secretary-General Sayyid Mustafa Murtadha Al-Dhiaa Al-Deen, and several members of the Board of Directors. Representing Al-Ameed University at this distinguished academic and spiritual event was the University President, Professor Dr. Joudat Noori Al-Jashaami, along with several academic and administrative department directors.
The week featured four scholarly sessions presenting research papers in both Arabic and English, focusing on the educational, doctrinal, and ethical thought reflected in the counsels of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them. The most notable presentations included:
* In the first session: a paper on friendship in the counsels of Imam Ali by Dr. Arkan Al-Tamimi, the counsels of Imam Hasan, and educational values in the life of Imam Hussain.
* In the second session: studies on the pursuit of justice, pillars of faith in the sayings of Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq, and the doctrinal and social dimensions of the counsels of Imam Al-Ridha.
* In the third session: discussions on the ethical dimension in the counsels of Imam Al-Jawad, the promise of the Mahdi, attributes of a just leader, and a chain-of-narration analysis of the Imam’s guidance to his governors.
* The fourth session, held in English, included studies on the knowledge of God according to Imam Al-Hadi, the sermon of Imam Al-Sajjad in Damascus, Imam Al-Baqir’s vision for preparing leaders, among other educational and intellectual topics.
The event concluded with a formal ceremony that included the reading of the final statement, the presentation of scholarly recommendations, and the unveiling of the book "Jawab Risalat al-Akhawayn" (Response to the Letter of the Two Brothers), in an atmosphere rich with scholarly depth and spiritual reverence, befitting the occasion and the greatness of its honored personalities.
