The Department of PCEG at Al-Ameed University organized a mourning ceremony on Sunday, November 17, 2024, to commemorate the martyrdom of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Al-Saida Al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashaami, along with vice presidents, deans of colleges, faculty members, staff, and a group of students. The ceremony took place in the Imam Al-Mujtaba Hall at the heart of the university campus.
The ceremony featured a lecture delivered by the esteemed Hussaini orator, Sayyid Hussein Al-Safi, who shed light on the noble life of Al-Saida Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), her significant stances during her brief life, her suffering, and the lofty values of the Prophetic household where she was raised—a model for all generations to emulate.
The audience engaged deeply with the heartfelt words and valuable lessons drawn from the life of Al-Saida Al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The ceremony concluded with an emotional elegy, during which tears were shed in sorrow for the martyrdom of the oppressed and virtuous lady.
