The library of the College of Health and Medical Technologies at our university held an introductory symposium titled "The Role of the Library in Supporting the Scientific Journey of Beneficiaries," in the presence of a number of the college's students and personnel from its departments, within the framework of its endeavor to enhance awareness of the importance of library services in supporting scientific achievement.
The symposium included a comprehensive review of the library's services and the mechanism for searching paper and electronic sources, alongside an explanation of the borrowing system and the instructions for using the library's facilities, which contributes to enabling students to make optimal use of the available resources.
The symposium was presented by the Librarian of the Central Library, Lect. Dr. Waseem Talib Mahdi, and the Librarian of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Mr. Ali Imad Ismail. They provided a comprehensive and simplified explanation that contributed to enhancing students' awareness of the library's role in supporting their scientific journey and developing their research skills.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the floor was opened for discussion to answer the students' inquiries, which contributed to achieving the symposium's objectives and enhancing positive interaction.
This symposium comes as part of a series of activities organized by the library in support of the educational process, and in an endeavor to develop students' skills in the field of scientific research.
