Under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, the University Psychological Counseling Division organized on Saturday, 22/8/2026, a mourning council to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Askari (peace be upon him). The event took place in the Imam Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) Hall, with the attendance and participation of a gathering of university faculty members, students, and personnel.
The council commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a religious lecture delivered by the Hussaini preacher Sayyid Hisham Al-Battat. In his lecture, he addressed luminous aspects of the biography of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Askari (peace be upon him), milestones of his blessed life, and the scholarly, educational, and spiritual stances that characterized it, leading up to the event of his martyrdom (peace be upon him).
Holding this council comes within the framework of our university's keenness to commemorate religious occasions, reflect upon the biography of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), enhance religious and moral awareness among university students and personnel, and draw valuable lessons and insights from their blessed lives.
