Under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, the University Psychological Counseling Division organized a mourning council to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the Generous One of the Ahl al-Bayt, Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him and them). The event took place in the Imam Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) Hall, in the presence of the University President, the Assistants, deans of several colleges, as well as university faculty members, personnel, and students, extending condolences to the pure Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) on this painful anniversary.
The council commenced with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, delivered by College of Medicine student Mousa Ahmad. Following this, His Eminence Sheikh Yousif Al-Sharifi took the podium, delivering a lecture in which he addressed the fragrant biography of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), reviewing the most prominent milestones of his blessed life, as well as his wisdom, forbearance, generosity, and asceticism, alongside his pivotal role in preserving the message of Islam and consolidating its principles.
He also highlighted the extent of the injustice faced by the Imam (peace be upon him) and the challenges and conspiracies he encountered that culminated in his martyrdom by poison, outlining the lessons and insights inspired by generations from his immortal biography.
The council concluded with a mournful elegy on this painful anniversary, along with prayers for everyone's success in following the path of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and inspiring the meanings of patience, sacrifice, and reform embodied by the pure Imams (peace be upon them).
