The Dean of the College of Nursing at our university, Asst. Prof. Dr. Dhiyaa Karim Al-Bayati, participated in the regular meeting of the Committee of Deans of Iraqi Nursing Colleges, representing nursing colleges and departments across Iraqi private universities and colleges, held at Al-Kitab University in Kirkuk Governorate.
The meeting was attended by several deans of nursing colleges from Iraqi public and private universities. During the session, they reviewed and discussed various academic and scientific topics related to the trajectory of nursing education in Iraq and elevating the quality of its educational outcomes to keep pace with rapid scientific and professional developments in the field of nursing.
Furthermore, the meeting explored avenues for enhancing cooperation and coordination among nursing colleges, exchanging academic expertise and experiences, and addressing the challenges confronting the educational process. This was in addition to putting forward a set of proposals and recommendations aimed at advancing academic curricula and programs, upgrading the scientific and practical competencies of nursing students, and reinforcing the quality of education to supply healthcare institutions with qualified nursing professionals capable of meeting labor market demands and serving the community.
