The Dean of the College of Medicine at our university, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Murtadha, chaired a scientific committee to evaluate the graduation research submitted as part of the requirements for the Arab Board specialization certificate in Internal Medicine by candidate Aws Falah Matrood, for his study entitled: "Acute Kidney Injury in Acute Coronary Syndrome: Prevalence and Associated Clinical Factors: A Cross-Sectional Study in Karbala."
The defense was held in the Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharifi Hall at Imam Al-Hussain (peace be upon him) Medical City, with the membership of an elite group of specialized physicians and faculty members from the College of Medicine at the University of Kerbala, namely: Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Hussein Salloom, Dr. Mohammed Muqaddar Makki, and Prof. Dr. Karim Obais Aliwi.
The defense session featured a scientific presentation of the study, followed by a comprehensive discussion of its methodology, findings, and conclusions, along with providing scientific observations and directives aimed at enriching the research and enhancing its academic and medical value.
