The College of Pharmacy at our university, under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Uday Abdul-Ridha Hussein Al-Rikabi, organized a scientific workshop entitled: "Ethics of Commitment and Responsibility on Campus: A Shared Vision for Building a Distinguished Academic Environment." The workshop was presented by the faculty member, Asst. Lect. Doaa Abbas Mohammed, in the presence of a number of faculty members and college students.
The workshop addressed several important pillars that focused on the importance of student discipline and consolidating the values of commitment and responsibility within the university campus. It also emphasized the concept of the social and ethical contract that unites the professor—as an academic and educational role model—and the student, who is viewed as an active partner responsible for making the most of their educational opportunities inside classrooms and laboratories.
Furthermore, the workshop featured discussions on effective ways to enhance a culture of commitment and respect for university regulations and instructions, thereby contributing to providing a positive educational environment that supports creativity and excellence.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation between faculty members and students in building a distinguished academic environment governed by the values of responsibility and respect. This synergy positively reflects on the academic and educational development of the students and enhances the overall quality of the educational process at the university.
