In the context of adopting modern educational practices and enhancing the quality of its academic outcomes, the College of Medicine organized a scientific activity to shed light on the Peer Teaching Program (PTP) and to honor the participating students and teaching staff in its 2025 and 2026 editions. This was in the presence of a number of academic leaders and scientific figures.

The activity witnessed the attendance of the University President's Scientific Assistant, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamiaa Abdul Kareem Issa, alongside the Deanship of the College of Medicine and the Medical Education Unit, as well as the presence of the Head of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Iraq Network, Prof. Dr. Hilal Bahjat Al-Saffar.

The activity included a comprehensive presentation of the most prominent achievements within the program, being one of the leading educational experiences globally, which the college successfully adapted to align with its academic vision and the needs of its students. The program contributed to providing a supportive and safe educational environment and enhanced the students' skills in the areas of teaching, communication, leadership, and teamwork.

The event also witnessed the honoring of participating and outstanding students by granting them two certificates of appreciation. The first was issued by the Deanship of the College of Medicine in appreciation of their efforts and active contribution to the program. The second was presented by the RCP Iraq Network in recognition of their excellence in applying the teaching skills they acquired during the Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) workshop, which the university hosted in September 2025, with the participation of students from more than ten medical colleges.

This honoring serves as an affirmation of the qualitative impact of the program and the training workshop in developing students' capabilities, especially in the areas of teaching and leadership, which was reflected in their outstanding performance within the program's activities.
