As part of its commitment to keeping pace with modern developments in digital dentistry and enhancing students' scientific and practical skills, the Department of Prosthodontics at the College of Dentistry at University of Al-Ameed organized a specialized training course for fourth- and fifth-year students on digital impressions using the Digital Intraoral Scanner.
Presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Mahmoud Al-Sharbati and Asst. Lect. Hashim Abd Awn, the course covered the fundamental principles of taking digital impressions, hands-on practical training on operating the intraoral scanner, and an overview of the key applications of this modern technology in prosthodontics, including fixed and removable prostheses.
The course witnessed active engagement from students, as it provided a practical opportunity to explore the latest digital technologies used in modern clinical practices, thereby contributing to developing their professional capabilities and boosting their readiness for job market requirements.
