Al-Ameed University Commemoration of the Martyrdom Anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askari (Peace Be Upon Him)
The Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at Al-Ameed University organized, on Monday, September 1, 2025, a Majlis of Mourning in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him). The event was attended by the Assistant President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Maytham Hamid Al-Qanbar; the Assistant President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Karim Abdulrahim; the Head of the Scientific Complex for the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Al-Ali; deans of colleges; heads of academic and administrative departments; as well as a gathering of university staff and students.
The Majlis commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Ahmed Abdul-Hussein, a student at the College of Medicine, followed by a lecture delivered by Sheikh Salah Al-Aboudi, who discussed the noble biography of our Imam and master, Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him). The lecture highlighted his blessed life, which exemplified the values, principles, and altruism of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), offering lessons and guidance applicable to the present day.
The Majlis concluded with a solemn eulogy for this profound loss and a supplication for the protection of our honorable country and its people, as well as for steadfastness on the path of the Infallible Imams (peace be upon them).
