Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Al-Ameed University participated in the International Scientific Development Program for Directors of Student Activities Departments, organized by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority – Student Activities Department, in collaboration with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) in Moscow.
Representing the university in this program was Dr. Hussein Hakem Abdul Wahid, Director of the Student Activities Department. The program took place from July 26 to August 2, 2025, with the participation of 45 representatives from 38 governmental and private universities and colleges.
The program included a series of theoretical and practical lectures, workshops, team-building exercises, and interactive dialogue sessions, in addition to field visits to prominent Russian sports institutions. The activities were attended by governmental and parliamentary figures from Iraq and Russia, as well as a number of athletes and media directors.
At the conclusion of the program, the participants were honored and awarded certificates of appreciation in the presence of the ministerial delegation. This participation comes as part of Al-Ameed University's ongoing efforts to enhance student activities and foster the exchange of international expertise.
