The Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at Al-Ameed University organized a joyful ceremony this morning, Tuesday (October 28, 2025), celebrating the birth anniversary of the Lady of Bani Hashim and the daughter of the Commander of the Faithful, Sayyida Zainab Al-Kubra (peace be upon them). The event was held in the Imam Al-Mujtaba (p) Hall in an atmosphere filled with joy and loyalty to the Household of the Prophethood. The ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashaami, the Assistants to the President, College Deans, faculty and administrative staff, and a gathering of students.
The ceremony began with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by student Mohammed Riyadh from the College of Pharmacy, followed by a valuable religious lecture delivered by His Eminence Sayyid Hashim Al-Batat. He discussed the fragrant biography of Sayyida Zainab (peace be upon her), what she embodied of patience and steadfastness in the face of injustice, her leading role in preserving the message of Al-Taff, and her great human principles.
The Director of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Department, Prof. Dr. Hassanain Adnan Al-Mousawi, said that the ceremony included poetry recitations expressing love and loyalty to Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), which added a sublime spiritual and emotional atmosphere.
He pointed out that organizing this ceremony comes within the framework of the department's activities aimed at enhancing the religious and spiritual awareness of the university's affiliates and students, and drawing lessons from the life of Sayyida Zainab (peace be upon her) in adhering to principles and serving the humanitarian message.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, a cultural competition was held for the female staff, which included questions about the life of Sayyida Zainab (peace be upon her), amidst interaction and enthusiasm from the attendees. Gifts were distributed to those who won with correct answers.
