Al-Ameed University took part in the closing activities of the Academic Educational Forum on Educational Philosophies and Policies, organized by the Al-Ameed Educational Group under the theme “Building an Islamic Educational Philosophy between Reality and Possibility.” The forum was attended by the Head of the Education and Higher Education Authority at the Holy Shrine of Al-Abbas and a member of its Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Dadda Al-Mousawi, alongside the Head of the Department of Education and Teaching at the Holy Shrine of Al-Abbas, Dr. Hassan Dakhil, in addition to a number of academic and educational figures.
Al-Ameed University was represented at the forum by Prof. Dr. Hassanein Adnan Murtadha, Head of the University Psychological Counseling Unit; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohsen Al-Sultani, Director of the Media and Government Communication Department; Assist. Prof. Dr. Haider Al-A‘raji, Director of the Continuing Education Center; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdul Kareem, Director of the Department of Scientific Cooperation and Cultural Relations; along with a number of faculty members and staff of the university.
The closing session featured a dedicated theme entitled “Challenges of Religious Education in the Modern Era,” presented by Professor Khosrow Bagheri Noaparast. He outlined a theoretical framework for correcting the course of religious education, addressing a range of concepts related to building educational awareness and the challenges faced by educators in this field.
Al-Ameed University’s participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting rigorous academic dialogue and contributing to the development of a contemporary Islamic educational vision grounded in intellectual authenticity while keeping pace with current educational realities, thereby strengthening the role of academic institutions in serving society and advancing educational and pedagogical processes.
