The College of Nursing at our university conducted the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for fourth-year students as part of the requirements for the Community Health Nursing course in maternal and child health, aiming to assess their scientific and practical competencies in delivering nursing care.
The examination featured several clinical and practical stations that tested students' skills in applying nursing knowledge and managing cases related to maternal and child health. This encompassed monitoring maternal health across pregnancy, labor, and postpartum stages, in addition to evaluating health parameters associated with child growth and development.
The administration of this examination reflects the college deanship's commitment to reinforcing the integration between theoretical knowledge and practical application, cultivating students' capacities for clinical evaluation and sound nursing decision-making in alignment with modern nursing education requirements and standards of quality assurance and academic accreditation.
