Since its founding, the College of Medicine – Al-Ameed University has taken it upon itself to be a distinguished academic institution in the field of medical education, striving to prepare competent physicians who combine scientific knowledge and medical expertise, high clinical skill, and a commitment to human and professional values. The College has worked to develop its programs and curricula in line with the latest international standards and has sought to advance its teaching staff through continuous training in modern teaching methods and advanced clinical training technologies.
The College includes eleven scientific branches in the basic and clinical sciences, supervised by highly experienced and qualified professors. Their efforts are complemented by the availability of modern laboratories and a Medical Skills and Simulation Laboratory, which provides an advanced educational environment for developing students’ skills and refining their practical abilities.
The Bachelor of Medicine and General Surgery program extends over six years, integrating basic and clinical sciences from the early stages of study, with a focus on engaging students actively in the educational process, as well as encouraging them to participate in scientific research and volunteer work.
Based on our vision for the College of Medicine – Al-Ameed University to be a leading center in Iraq and the region in the fields of medical education, scientific research, and community service, we continue to work diligently to update our curricula and teaching methods to keep pace with modern requirements, quality standards, and academic accreditation. We also encourage a culture of scientific research that contributes to the development of medical knowledge and the addressing of national health issues. Furthermore, we strengthen partnerships with health and community institutions and instill ethical and professional values in the practice of medicine.
