• Thoracovascular surgeon, Hilla teaching hospital; Babil (July 2020 - present): Part time assignment, dealing with emergency thoracic and vascular cases including chest and limbs trauma, limb ischemia, foreign body inhalation and ingestion with rigid bronchoscopy and esophagoscopy.

• Cardiac surgery registrar, Nassiriyah heart center; Thi Qar (October 2018 - May 2019): Registrar in cardiac surgeries for coronary heart disease, valvular diseases, congenital cardiac anomalies, on-call surgeon for emergency cases.
• Cardiac surgery fellow, Iraqi Center for Heart Diseases; Baghdad / Iraqi Board Student (April 2018 - October 2018): First assistant and registrar in cardiac surgeries for coronary heart disease, valvular diseases, congenital cardiac anomalies and emergency cases: failed coronary stents and traumatic cases; ICU training for post-operative patients. Completed requirements for Iraqi Board at the end of 2018.

Hospital residents' chief (supervising interns, residents and fellows in medical and surgical departments) and member of continuous medical education in the hospital.
• Thoracovascular surgery fellow, Ghazi Al Hariri Specialized Surgeries H.; Baghdad medical city / Iraqi Board Student (April 2016 - October 2016): First assistant and operator in diagnostic and therapeutic thoracic and vascular procedures and surgeries for trauma, pathologies and congenital abnormalities in a patient's, including tumors, beside diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopic procedures (rigid and flexible) and IV access procedures.
• Thoracovascular surgery fellow, Al Sadir Teaching H, Najaf medical city / Iraqi Board Student (October 2015 - April 2016): Second respondent in emergency department and first assistant in thoracic and vascular surgeries, majorly diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopic procedures, IV access procedures and managing pulmonary diseases and tumors and vascular surgeries. Have been appointed chief resident of the thoracic surgery residents for four of the six months worked there.
• Thoracovascular surgery resident, Ibn AlNafees Teaching H., Baghdad / Iraqi Board Student (April 2014 - October 2015): Second respondent in emergency department and first assistant in thoracic and vascular surgeries majorly dealing with peripheral arterial disease, aortic pathologies and IV access patients in ESRD, the hospital was also a tertiary trauma center for chest and vascular injuries in road traffic accidents, flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, some experience in endovascular intervention and pacemaker implantation (temporary and permanant). Acted as the residents' chief for a year supervising junior fellows and organizing educational activities.
• General surgery resident, Al Kindy Teaching H., Baghdad / Iraqi Board Student (October 2013 - April 2014): Passed preliminary exam for Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations Fellowship program, worked in casualty room dealing with trauma patients and other emergencies, trained for BLS, ATLS, ACLS and practiced basic procedures and surgeries in general surgery.
• Cardiac surgery resident, Nasiriyah Heart Center, Thi Qar (February 2012 - October 2013): Second then first assistant in cardiac surgeries for congenital cardiac defects mostly in neonatal age group with intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit training by local and visiting foreign medical teams (worked with Dr W. Novick and his team from ICHF for a year, as a cardiac surgery resident, intensive care provider and as a team coordinator and instructor). Also appointed residents' chief for more than a year, supervising interns and junior residents.
• General surgery resident, Al Qurnah general H.; Basrah (February 2011 - February 2012): Secondary general hospital in the peripheries with casualty room, Emergency department duties with operative training and surgical ward, involved in general surgery operations and responsible for peri-operative care in the ward.
• Internship / General surgery and general medicine, Al Samawah Teaching H.; Al Muthanna (January 2010 - February 2011): Clinical courses in general medicine, general surgery, Pediatrics, Gyne and obstetrics. Main training in emergency department and medical care and follow up of ward patients with operative training and ward procedures. Appointed as chief resident for about six months.

Skills:

• Non medical skills include special interest in computer science and programming, excellent Microsoft Office user (Word, Power point, Excel and Access) in windows and their equivalent in macOS and iOS.
• Great experience in archiving, patients' databases and their applications. Expert in mobile system and medical apps.

• ATLS and ACLS trainee by Iraqi Red Crescent Society.
