The College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University organized a specialized scientific workshop on Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for emergency cardiac cases, with the participation of a distinguished group of instructors from the Regional Training Center for Emergency Medical Services at the Iraqi Ministry of Health.
Held over two days, the workshop was directed toward sixth-year (internship/stageer) medical students, aiming to develop their practical skills, enhance their competence in managing emergency cardiac cases, and strengthen their capabilities in emergency medicine and mass-casualty management.
The workshop featured scientific lectures and hands-on practical training sessions, focusing on the latest internationally approved protocols for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), rapid intervention mechanisms, and clinical decision-making in critical situations. This contributed to better preparing students for effective clinical practice in hospitals and healthcare institutions after graduation.
This workshop forms part of a series of scientific activities that the College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University is keen to organize, in support of the educational process and in pursuit of elevating the quality of medical education outcomes, in line with healthcare sector requirements and community needs.
